Yes, very nice. I can't nail heal and toe all the time. I'm cool at rev matching (if I say so myself), as in throttle blipping a down shift from 4th to 2nd with no jerking (but not braking), but heal and toe, where you slightly brake at the same time I'm average at. The MX-5 got me better at general rev matching as it's a naturally aspirated engine with no rev hang (or none really obvious). So it takes no prisoners if you ain't on the money. When I go into a car with a turbo, usually with slightly slower rev drops and more muted throttle responses, it's much easier.

If you want Instant heat from a ICE engine there are Radiator and Block heaters that are 240volt and they pre warm the engine coolant before you turn it on. Instant heat.

Surely this won't work as its so inexpensive, but its the sort of gizmo I'm talking about.

I used to own a Mercedes V230 that had something like this fitted it worked well, it also circulated hot water to keep the heater blowing hot air even with the engine not running. It was great for keeping warm if you were sitting waiting for someone without the need to run the engine.

There's a few different types, can get engine heaters that plug in like Pete mentioned, they plumb in to the engine coolant (heater) circuit so do pump coolant (read heater water in this context) around the system because they need to pump it around if they're going to heat the engine. Campers might add to that system by modifying other bits of the car so the heater will still work with the ignition off. But lots of vehicles (German stuff especially) have a factory fitted little pump that will still circulate water around the engine and heater matrix and allow the heater to blow at a slow speed when the ignition key is in the accessory position, it allows the heater to continue to work for a short while when the engine is turned off providing the engine is already warm.
