My Audi crackles a bit on the overrun, it doesn’t need fake pops and bangs when you drive it properly as it has that V8 signature tune that can’t be replicated by Tomo & Shaz in their A3 Tdi smoke machine.

Mine being used as intended at Santa Pod.

Before I sold it to a German chap called Wolfgang Bono (seriously), who travelled over from Germany with a stack of Euros (despite agreeing a price in pounds) and was nonplussed that I wouldn’t take them in payment.

Cost him about a grand in exchange rates changing it over to sterling which he thought I should have borne the cost of. What a numpty.
 
For me on a car I’ve owned…… the best sound was a 2001 Impreza STI7. ( bugeye) the sound from the boxer engine with its uneven headers was unmistakable - along with the obligatory Forge dump valve - 😳completely Chav now but back in 2001 I thought I was the full cheese.

Family from Rhosneigr - been going to RAF Valley since I was a child, not a proper plane spotter , just in awe of Jets flying fast just above my head.

We stay here 10 mins away - try to use the cottage 3 - 4 times a year.

IMHO There is no better adrenaline rush than a Typhoon running a fly by on full chat - just above your head, you can feel the heat from the engines and they all smell like ice cream vans, I’ve no idea why.

Took my lad when he was younger and the Delica got us to places most other spotters couldn’t go, got us into trouble as well, MPs with guns -

They used to practice for Air displays on the weeks running up to the event - the Health and safety book seemed to be thrown out the window. Rules that applied to the actual display were definitely broken- so we would not bother with the display and just watch the practices.
