What have you done to your Elgrand today?

New rear wheel bearing assy I sourced from JDM car parts fitted by my local garage. Was advised that as it's never been apart, 2 of the 4 mounting bolts sheared off during disassembly, so I am quite happy I didn't attempt this on the driveway.
£150 labour and £65 for the bearing assy.
Nice clean MOT now, so big sigh of relief......Now gotta go get the Saab and sort out the blowing exhaust, for her MOT, but that's not as urgent.

Today my Elgrand went over the 140,000km mark and I added a full tank of E85 at a cost of 42.69€ or £37.22 in English. No issues from the ethanol as yet other than fewer km/l which have dropped from 7.2km/l to 6.7km/l on average.

And we get all anxious about E10
Have you had to change rubber or metal components?
I've used new rubber fuel pipe from the metal fuel line under the bonnet to the fuel rail, to which I've added a fuel filter in case of any disruption upstream. The pipe was supplied with the kit, other than that it's all original. I guess time will tell if the fuel pump and injectors are up to the task.

Best I can say for today is ordered the parts to do the trans service while working on other cars

filled up my LPG tank for the first time, easy enough. only a 30L tank (I think) its showing full anyway.
have to fit this brass connector first.

Hi is the tank under your van in place of spare wheel as 30L tank is very small Simon fit a 93L tank when he does his conversion

I've just about got my diesel heater installed into my stealthy/bourgeoisie homelessness rig that I'm going to be living in while I go back to uni. I want to post some pics of my set up once it's presentable - can anyone give me a hint on uploading pics? If I can avoid uploading to a third party website that would be ideal.
I would love to see your photos. I am considering getting a diesel heater also any advice and tips will be much appreciated.

yes it is, it was already fitted to the van when i bought it.

Today I ordered yet more suspension bushes that will hopefully arrive at the garage on Monday... to be fitted Monday/Tuesday ready for me to use it to go on holiday on Weds... getting a bit squeaky-bum-time here... would have helped if the garage had been clearer in what they actually wanted me to order.

One the done list (apart from me, I've clearly been done):
- Rear cat bypasses fitted
- 4x tyres fitted
- new drop links front and rear
- ARB bushes front and rear
- Replacement washer bottle and pipework as original was leaking
- Reconditioned steering rack fitted
- front lamdas replaced
- Front tracking done

Labour alone for that lot is running at about a grand so far... :-(

On the still to-do list:
- Rear track control rods
- inner and outer bushes for the control arms (garage actually asked me to source replacement arms as they are concerned about bending them trying to change the bushes, but replacement arms appear to be £275 per side and special order from Japan...)
- subframe bushes
- rear tracking

I can see us using my wife's car for this holiday... which I won't be happy about given that the garage have been asking me as late as this lunchtime to order the extra bits they need to finish the job, having had the car since Tuesday morning and knowing I need it for holiday next week...

At least hers is a big car too but has seats that feel like they are chiselled from granite... I want my Elgrand armchairs for a long drive!

Another oil change performed in the rain!
Then tried to fit my new Grayston spring assisters and looks like Ive ordered the wrong size!!! I chose G15A which is spring size between 51 and 65mm, I think I might have measured it wrong! Anyone else on here used them and if so what size did you go for?

I can’t remember but I ordered some at the wrong size, then ordered some more at the correct size bit it didn’t solve my Ellie’s arse dragging along the floor so I bought +25% uprated springs and they are lovely, don’t need the Graystons. I am not convinced by them TBH. Why do you think you need them?

Like yours my arse was dragging on the floor with the load I'm carrying. My wife's electric wheelchair alone is 160kg.
Was wondering about the uprated springs but then without a load I was concerned the arse end would be too high in the air! lol
Also been looking at Tein suspension as the springs are firmer and you can set it to standard ride height and then lower them if you wish, just not quite sure what to do at the moment!
How much higher is the back end buddy with the uprated springs and where did you get yours from?

I got mine from BMR. At first the rear looked a bit high but I think it looks just right now and is strangely a more comfy ride. If you have old stock HWS suspension I think putting these on the back is a great improvement.

My other dilemma is I'm still running Tein front suspension. 🤔
