What have you done to your Elgrand today?

They are good if you want some fresh air in and it's raining, you can open the windows that little bit and not get wet. The downside I find is they add extra wind noise at speed.
But this is only a worry on white ones.

Yep , if your bus is white make sure they are sealed “all way round” or you will get noise “ at speed”

Mine flap around a bit at the mo!
Another job to my to do list re-stick the wind deflectors! lol
Bit of a thick question, but what adhesive do you use if you had a 'new' set/took them off to put back on, as I don't think they're the 'Heko- type' which fit into the seals?

3M tape or tiger seal if you want to be absolutely sure they stay

replaced the 2 remote battery's, no idea how long they have been in so a bit of a preventative measure :D
I did those not long ago. Panicked when I tried for the first time the TV thing and drew a blank, then saw the batteries looked very old. Put a new set in and the heart stopped thumping.

ive read a few posts saying some of the problems a failing battery can cause, mine where fine but as i said no idea how old they are, best to be on the safe side 👍

True, but saying that I can imagine getting hold of a 'new' remote would probably be attainable, if old, leaky batteries fried it. Compared to some other parts, anyway.

Like Dave said buddy something like 3M tape should do the job.

They do have a few hooks to go under the seal but obviously do need adhering to the door. VHB tape is best. The clear type is easier to remove. The foam type will last another 20 years.

5000km oil change today, showed my son how to do it as my back is still not great.

Also zip tied the cracks in the front bumper and drolled holes to stop the cracks advancing any further until I can sort it properly.

Thing is, if you sourced a couple of these, will the hooks you mentioned by on them, or would that be another thing to try and find?

They're moulded onto the deflector so if they're missing, they're broken.

Yeah, seems another risky nightmare Jap import used part source job. Order off eBay or something, arrives with bits missing :(
Original Nissan ones will have the clips.
Some if not most “aftermarket “ ones won’t and will just stick on

If @Winchester is selling a pair, you won't go wrong as he is very reputable.

Polished the yellowing headlights and font corner of bumper in readiness for spraying it up with freshly arrived G30 paint later this week. Also started on the raised bed/storage area. Gearbox filter and fluid replaced last week and booked in for full service and sorting out of suspension squeaks and rattles plus refresh of underseal with Adrian at Winchester; it's going to be an expensive month but will bring the Ellie back upto A1 spec. 😅

Ribbed knob 😁. Temu special
