Build 50 is on Play. Install it over the top as usual (never uninstall).
This one is about making the app easier to read, and about setting your van up properly if you want to.
This one is about making the app easier to read, and about setting your van up properly if you want to.
- Readable in daylight. Darker, larger text. Setup → Display now has Day, Night, Auto and "Day 07–19, Night after".
- Calibrate your van. A new guided sequence in Setup for speed, odometer and fuel. It's optional, and the GPS speed check needs the app open. Please have a go, because it's how we get every van set up the same way.
- Petrol "Filled up" box. Enter the pump litres and your dash odo after a fill, and the app tunes your fuel figures from a full tank. A calibration history shows what changed and when.
- New starting fuel values. Offered once. If you've already tuned yours, they stay as they are.
- No more guessing. With no fuel price set, the app says "set fuel prices" instead of showing a made-up cost. Economy shows in L/100 km if you use kilometres.
- Logging you can see. While the app records, a "logging in progress" notification has a Stop logging button. Setup shows whether background logging is on and the time of the last reading.
- Smaller fixes. Trips no longer lose short gaps in the link. The app warns before an older import replaces newer records. A phone gives up after about 20 seconds if the engine isn't running, instead of 3 minutes.
- Privacy Policy link in Setup → About.
- Android 12 and later now ask for approximate as well as precise location, which those versions require. It's only used for the GPS speed check.
