Went to hengistbury head for a walk, a sausage roll and got starlings on me like pigeons in Trafalgar square eating pastry out my hand. 28 mpg there and same back on the display, still on track for 300 miles out the tank with mostly commuting and short trips. I think I need another trip like today to do it though as I'm on 233 miles and it says 75 miles left. I reckon 30mpg is easily achievable on a run
 
The situation has changed for me since I was originally looking to get one. It was never intended on becoming my daily but because I'm likely to get rid of my golf I'm wanting to be more efficient than originally intended. I could have got something more economical but it wouldn't have been an Elgrand. And with fuel prices going through the roof again at the moment I'm trying to make it manageable.
This is why I'm also considering LPG at a later date. This should make sense if I plan on keeping it as long as I keep most vehicles. I'm used to going 56 everywhere in the lorry so I'm fine with a plod along.

I have the same attitude, Coach driver for 20 years, so 62 of 100kmh is my default speed!
 
Been to wemyss bay for the week, not a single Elgrand to be seen, day trip to isle of bute, saw 3 e51's and a e50 within 15 minutes

There's going to be an E51 in Norfolk tomorrow for a week 😎, we are having a week at Gatton Waters. Probably be our last "big" camping trip of the year.
 
Nothing other than check for actual thread in a heatsheild bolt hole. I just wanted to say I was sat on break at one stop yate when a guy with a van (tranny or VW?) was opening and closing his side door. I thought thank fook I don't have to do that. I usually open the offside door whilst putting my boots on in the porch with it opening in near silence
The led step light provides ample light to light up the garden too 😉😎 Need to upgrade all the bulbs that are still halogen

This is one of the Ali LED sets on mine just now, much brighter than OE.

Do the light covers/trim just pop off to access the bulbs?

If you fitted it in the Van does that mean you need to go to it each time you need hot water?
