Bonnet stuck on my E51

Not exactly technical, but my bonnet latch is stuck and I need to top up my oil. It opened yesterday morning when I checked the oil. Later in the afternoon... it's stuck. I've tried to spray WD40 in it but didn't budge it. Going to try again today. Any suggestions?
